Tris Moore leads the sports team and his experience includes advising a leading name in British sports retail on the acquisition of an isotonic drinks company, repeat instructions on various commercial/sponsorship and trading matters from an international supplier of gymnasium equipment and advising two high profile international footballers on contractual matters. Tris also acts for a number of charities and community interest organizations.
Tris has more than ten years experience advising on corporate and commercial transactional matters including intellectual property and rights protection.
Tris is a keen sportsman and is passionate about sport from the grass roots up. His own amateur football career was ended in his early thirties when his leg was broken in a tackle and he now runs triathlons.
Bill is practice chairman and head of the Corporate Services department. Bill has been in practice as a corporate specialist since 1985 and has a wealth of experience advising clients on corporate matters and infrastructure projects.
He is a keen sailor and a committed rugby man.
James has been a partner since 1982 and is head of the Employment Department.
He specialises in all aspects of employment law including redundancies, wrongful and unfair dismissal claims, sex and race discrimination, and drafting contracts of employment.
Jonathan is head of the Dispute Resolution department at Clifton Ingram LLP and is an accredited mediator with the expertise to broker settlements and run successful litigations.
Jonathan also advises on sports injury claims.
Peter is a former Inland Revenue officer and a tax specialist and during his career he has acted for a number of well known sports people in relation to their tax and wealth management affairs and their wills.
Peter is a partner and head of the Tax, Wills and Probate department. He is a keen cricket fan and umpires in local league cricket.
Marilyn’s status as a leading Family law specialist is acknowledged by the legal directories. A very experienced Family lawyer, she has represented a number of high value divorce clients, including individuals well known in sporting circles.
Although she covers all aspects of family law, including divorce, separation, children and unmarried couples, she has developed considerable expertise in dealing with complex financial cases.
Tim is a partner in the Commercial Property department and advises a number of key sports clients on all property aspects relating to their sporting estates and commercial property portfolios.
Tim loves classic cars and competes in motor sports events.
