Graphic design can refer to just about any visual medium, graphical or otherwise, which needs an element of design – but in the content of web design, it refers to the images and design created for a website. Where website design refers to the overall layout and interaction of different elements on a webpage and CSS is the way you build the design and layout, graphic design is the images and visual art work.
Usually using Photoshop or similar graphic creation programs, good graphic design adds rich visual interest to websites and compliments the overall ambitions of the site. At wdb, we never reuse artwork and create unique graphics, tailored to specific needs, for each and every project.
At the end of each project, we release all rights over the art work to our clients – meaning they can use it for business cards, letterheads, advertising and anywhere else required.
